Anika Noi Rose, an American singer/actress is a well-known brand in the entertainment world. The most famous role she has played is Tiana, Disney's first African American princess. Anika Noni rose (born on the 6th of September 1973) is an American performer and singing. She was best known for her character Tiana Ariel, the princess of Disney who is her first African American Princess in The Princess and the Frog (2009). Disney named her a legend in the year 2011. Her most well-known role is her role as Lorrell Robinson in the Oscar Award-winning film Dreamgirls (2006), and the character she played as LaVerne the Jukebox Ganner in the Starz television series Power. Also, she is known for her work in the theatre, especially because of her starring role as Emmie Thibodeaux in the Broadway performance of Caroline or Change (2004) in which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Actress in a Musical award was awarded to her as well as Beneatha Youther from the Broadway Revival of A Raisin in the Sun (2015) to which she was awarded the Tony Award Best Female Featured Performance in a Play nominated her.
